Vacation Rental Tips
What to Bring?
Our rentals provide the following for at least the maximum occupancy the home allows:
-Blankets, Pillows, Mattress Pads, Bedspreads, a Vacuum Cleaner and other various cleaning supplies
-You need to supply (or may want to bring) the following:
Bed Linens, Bath & Kitchen Towels (ask us about available linen services to rent sheets & towels!)
-Beach Towels;
-Special Cooking Items ;
-Cameras and Film;
-Baby Equipment (if not specified in brochure); (ask us about Baby Equipment rental services)
-Food and Condiments;
-DVDs & Games
-Flashlights, Radios and Batteries;
-Personal Toiletries;
-Cleaning Supplies;
-Paper Products (Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, etc.);
-Beach and Fishing Equipment;
-Alarm Clock (If needed on vacation!);
-Suntan Lotions, etc.; and
-Cash or Traveler's checks (Personal Checks and Credit Cards may not be accepted at some establishments).
-All kitchens are adequately stocked for everyday meal preparation. You can expect to find the following items for at least the maximum occupancy: a Coffee Maker and a Toaster, Dishes, Glasses, Coffee Mugs, Flatware, Dishes, Pots and Pans and Cooking Utensils. Some rentals provide extra kitchen equipment, but others do not. Extra kitchen items are provided according to the individual homeowner's preference, not according to the size, location, or price of the rental. If you are planning special meal preparations you should bring with you such items as: a Blender, a Food Processor, Extra Large or Specialty Pots or Pans, Chef's Knives, Specialty Cooking Utensils, etc.
Cleaning
Tenants are required to leave the rental in “same condition as when they found it”, either by cleaning themselves or the hiring of a service. Some homes have a professional cleaning in between tenancies & others do not. Please notify us immediately if you are not satisfied with the cleanliness of the rental upon your arrival & we will make every effort to remedy the situation. If you are interested in hiring a service to clean the rental upon your leaving, we have many available and for good rates for our tenants.
Occupancy
Each of our rentals are limited by a Municipal Ordinance for maximum occupancy which is posted in each rental. That is the maximum number of people allowed, residents and/or guests included. Number and sizes of beds are listed only to accommodate flexibility in sleeping arrangements and not to represent allowable occupancy. It is your responsibility to accurately represent the number of adults and children before you enter into a lease agreement as Violating occupancy limits will result in immediate eviction with no refund of rent. Municipal penalties may apply as well.
Equipment and Appliances
Furnishings and equipment in all properties are provided by the owner. Every reasonable effort is made to keep each property and its equipment in good working order. Please notify your Prudential Zack rental specialist promptly of any difficulty you encounter during your stay. Agent, upon notification, will make every reasonable effort to complete repairs. Under no circumstance will the Tenant be relocated or receive a reduction in rent for any equipment failure.
Parking
Be mindful of parking spaces available at your rental. Make sure street parking is allowed and whether any meters are present. RVs are not permitted on the grounds of any unit at any time. No parking in undesignated areas, including lawns.
Phone & Internet
Rentals equipped with telephones may not allow for long distance calls. Tenants can receive calls, dial locally or use a calling card. It is the responsibility of the tenant to find out if internet service is available in their rental. Internet may be highspeed or dial up, and could be wi-fi accessible or require Ethernet connection.
Lost and Found
We make every effort to locate and return lost items but will not be responsible for personal items left behind. If you notice something missing, call your check-in office. If found, we will send the item; you will pay a fee of $25 plus shipping, handling and tax. Any items not claimed within 30 days after checkout will be donated to a local charity. We are not responsible for items broken or lost during shipping.
Conservation
Please help us protect our delicate environment by being conscious of your water and energy consumption while visiting the New Jersey Shore. You can assist us by:
-Closing all windows and doors in the rental if the heat or air conditioning is on
-Turning off lights and appliances when they aren't in use (including outdoor lighting)
-Washing only full loads in the dishwasher/washing machine
-Not allowing water to run freely while brushing your teeth, shaving or washing up
-Reporting any water leaks, dripping faucets or running toilets to your check-in office
-Not overloading the refrigerator and/or turning the setting to the “max” coldest, as this typically becomes to much burden on the machine & it WILL break down!
-We recycle on the New Jersey Shore ! Please be mindful of local recycling pickup days for your commingled recyclables, paper & cardboard.
